The Georg Fischer COOL-FIT 4.0 ball valve type 546 Pro is an engineered, manual shut-off and flow-isolation solution specifically developed for chilled water circuits, industrial refrigeration, and secondary cooling loops across the d32 to d90 mm (DN25 to DN80) dimensional range. Manufactured with a robust Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS) valve body, low-friction PTFE ball seats, and resilient EPDM seals, the valve delivers bidirectional, leak-tight sealing, low operating torque, and dependable resistance against water-glycol mixtures and aggressive cooling media. The unit is equipped with metric PE100 SDR11 spigot ends, enabling homogeneous electrofusion jointing into pre-insulated piping networks using separate COOL-FIT Type A electrofusion fittings. Each valve includes factory-fitted insulation half shells engineered from high-efficiency closed-cell foam, preserving thermal insulation continuity across the assembly to eliminate thermal bridges, prevent surface condensation, and protect against ice accretion across an operating temperature range of -50 degrees Celsius to +60 degrees Celsius. Engineered for a nominal operating pressure rating of 10 bar (PN10) with high flow coefficients reaching up to 7000 liters per minute, the valve operates via an ergonomic hand lever that provides smooth quarter-turn control. Integrated stainless steel threaded mounting inserts located at the base facilitate secure fixation to structural pipe brackets without inducing mechanical stress on the valve housing or pipe run. Designed for maintenance-free 24/7 duty in food and beverage production, cold storage facilities, air conditioning chillers, and industrial cooling plants, this valve ensures long-term operational reliability while reducing thermal losses.
