The Georg Fischer COOL-FIT 4.0 PE/ABS adaptor union provides a demountable transition between pre-insulated polyethylene piping and solvent-cemented ABS piping systems across dimensions from d32 mm (DN25) up to d63 mm (DN50). Designed specifically for secondary cooling loops, industrial refrigeration, chilled water distribution, and food and beverage processing circuits, the engineered transition fitting pairs an SDR11 PE100 spigot end with free length for electrofusion welding alongside an ABS solvent cement socket bush secured by a heavy-duty ABS union nut. Reliable mechanical sealing across the joint is achieved through a factory-matched EPDM O-ring gasket, providing an impermeable barrier against pressure losses and fluid escape under nominal operating pressures of up to 10 bar across system media temperatures ranging from minus 50 degrees Celsius to plus 60 degrees Celsius. The detachable union assembly enables stress-free alignment during line setup and permits rapid mechanical disconnection for routine maintenance, valve servicing, or equipment replacement without requiring destructive interventions or pipe cutting. Thermal performance and condensation control are maintained through the included custom-molded insulation half shells, which fit snugly around the entire union body to establish a vapor-tight barrier that prevents humidity penetration, ice formation, and localized thermal loss. Combining the corrosion resistance and impact strength of industrial thermoplastics, the pre-insulated fitting preserves overall cooling circuit efficiency, prevents condensation-related damage, and guarantees long-term operational integrity in demanding industrial environments.
