The Georg Fischer COOL-FIT 4.0 PE/stainless steel adaptor fitting with male thread R provides a robust, pre-insulated transition between metric PE100 industrial piping circuits and threaded metallic components, equipment, or manifolds. Engineered specifically for high-efficiency commercial and industrial refrigeration, food and beverage processing, cold storage, and chilled water loops, the hybrid transition fitting combines a long spigot metric pipe made of PE100 SDR11 with a premium stainless steel 1.4404 (316L) male threaded fitting R. An internal high-performance EPDM O-ring delivers permanent elastomeric sealing between the stainless steel insert and the polyethylene body, effectively preventing leak paths under continuous cyclic thermal stress. With a nominal operating pressure rating of 16 bar (PN16) and an operational media temperature spectrum spanning from -50 degrees Celsius to +60 degrees Celsius, the fitting ensures uncompromised mechanical reliability in demanding glycol, chilled brine, and secondary cooling applications. Each unit is supplied complete with tailored insulation half-shells designed to seamlessly enclose the joint, eliminating thermal bridging and halting condensation-induced corrosion where metal transitions meet plastic networks. The PE100 spigot end integrates directly with standard COOL-FIT electrofusion couplers or type A fittings, enabling quick, traceable, and homogeneous fusion welding that drastically reduces on-site installation time compared to traditional post-insulated metallic piping. By combining the exceptional chemical resistance and non-corroding properties of PE100 with the mechanical strength of acid-resistant 316L stainless steel, the transition fitting maintains tight vapor barriers and optimal energy conservation across the entire lifespan of refrigeration installations.
