Georg Fischer COOL-FIT 2.0/4.0 PE to stainless steel adaptor fittings provide a factory-engineered, high-integrity mechanical and material transition between pre-insulated polyethylene piping networks and threaded metallic equipment or components. Manufactured with a metric PE100 SDR11 spigot on the plastic interface and premium grade 1.4404 (316L) stainless steel with an external male thread R on the metallic interface, this transition component is engineered for secondary refrigeration, chilled-water distribution, industrial HVAC, and process cooling applications operating at a nominal pressure of up to 16 bar. The internal mechanical joint between the PE100 core and the stainless steel body is sealed by a high-grade EPDM O-ring, ensuring absolute leak tightness, long-term hydrostatic endurance, and resistance against mechanical vibration and thermal cycling. The metric spigot end allows straightforward jointing using COOL-FIT electrofusion fittings and standard PE jointing techniques, enabling seamless integration into both COOL-FIT 2.0 and COOL-FIT 4.0 pre-insulated circuits without thermal distortion. The robust 1.4404 stainless steel threaded section offers outstanding corrosion resistance against glycol-water mixtures, condensation, and demanding ambient conditions, facilitating direct, reliable connection to chillers, valves, heat exchangers, pumps, and manifold systems. Designed to eliminate the vulnerabilities associated with traditional mechanical field adaptors, the fitting maintains complete fluid containment, low pressure loss, and maximum structural stability across media operating temperatures from 0 degrees Celsius to 60 degrees Celsius.
