The Georg Fischer COOL-FIT 2.0 transition tee 90 degrees PE/brass provides a factory pre-insulated piping solution engineered for secondary cooling, process cooling circuits, and industrial air conditioning installations requiring secure transitions to metallic pipework and threaded equipment. Designed with a factory-bonded 3-in-1 architecture, the component integrates an inner PE100 SDR11 carrier pipe, a closed-cell halogen-free GF HE foam thermal core with a thermal conductivity of λ ≤ 0.022 W/mK, and a UV-stabilized, impact-resistant black outer protective casing. The 90-degree branch features a precision-machined CuZn40Pb2 brass transition element with Rp female threading, providing a rigid, corrosion-resistant metallic takeoff for valves, measuring instrumentation, fan coil units, or metal piping networks while maintaining complete thermal boundary integrity. The main in-line through-run is configured with Type A electrofusion sockets incorporating factory-fitted internal sealing lips, creating moisture-tight and vapor-proof seals against the outer pipe jacket without the need for adhesives, mastics, or heat-shrink sleeves. Embedded electrofusion heating wires and external welding pin connectors enable guided, automated joining processes with built-in visual and haptic weld indicators that confirm complete jointing success. Rated for nominal operating pressures up to 16 bar (SDR11) across fluid temperatures from 0 degrees Celsius to +60 degrees Celsius, the maintenance-free pre-insulated transition fitting eliminates exterior condensation, prevents galvanic corrosion, and stops internal incrustation. By delivering factory-controlled insulation quality directly to the joint interface, the fitting prevents thermal bridging, reduces energy transmission losses, and cuts installation labor compared to conventional site-insulated metal installations.
