Georg Fischer COOL-FIT 2.0 hand-operated ball valves deliver reliable manual shut-off and high-efficiency flow control for commercial air conditioning, chilled water distribution, and industrial process cooling systems. Engineered with a robust PVC-U valve body and integral metric PE100 SDR11 spigots, each unit facilitates homogeneous electrofusion welding into pre-insulated piping networks while ensuring permanent protection against internal scaling and corrosive degradation. The assembly operates at a nominal pressure rating of 16 bar and handles cooling media temperatures spanning from 0 degrees to +60 degrees Celsius, maintaining high hydraulic throughput with kv-values between 700 and 7000 liters per minute at a 1 bar pressure differential. Valve actuation and sealing mechanisms are aligned with standard industrial configurations: dimensions d32 to d63 utilize the type 542 platform fitted with durable PE ball seals and an ergonomic blue manual lever, whereas sizes d75 and d90 feature the heavy-duty type 546 design equipped with low-friction PTFE ball seats, an ergonomic red manual lever, and integrated stainless steel threaded mounting inserts for secure bracket fixation. Every ball valve package is supplied complete with custom-molded insulation half shells that form an airtight, vapor-sealed thermal barrier around the valve housing. This factory-engineered insulation eliminates thermal bridges, prevents outer condensation, and stops moisture ingress, removing the need for conventional manual post-insulation on job sites. By combining lightweight polymer construction with a 25-year design lifespan, these manual valves ensure maintenance-free quarter-turn operation and exceptional thermal energy efficiency across mission-critical cooling infrastructure.
