The Georg Fischer COOL-FIT 2.0 adaptor fitting PE/stainless steel with male thread R provides a high-integrity, vapor-sealed transition between pre-insulated polyethylene distribution systems and threaded metallic equipment in building services, HVAC, and process refrigeration networks. Engineered specifically for seamless integration within the COOL-FIT 2.0 portfolio, this transition fitting features an SDR11 metric spigot end manufactured from high-density PE100 polyethylene, facilitating dependable electrofusion jointing to system fittings while preserving structural flow performance. The metallic transition interface consists of acid-resistant 1.4404 (AISI 316L) stainless steel with a standard male thread R, providing exceptional mechanical strength and corrosion resistance when connecting to equipment headers, manifold connections, valves, chillers, or fan coils handling water and glycol cooling mixtures. Internal hydraulic sealing between the thermoplastic spigot and the stainless steel insert is permanently maintained by a heavy-duty EPDM O-ring gasket engineered to withstand continuous operating pressures up to 16 bar. To eliminate thermal bridging and combat moisture ingress, the fitting is supplied with tailor-made pre-insulation made of closed-cell NBR elastomer foam, ensuring continuous vapor tightness and preventing condensation across medium temperatures ranging from 0 degrees Celsius to +60 degrees Celsius. Covering metric pipe diameters from d32 mm to d63 mm (DN25 to DN50) and male thread connections from R 1/2 inch to R 2 inch, the component ensures fast, repeatable alignment, zero incrustation, and maintenance-free operation across the entire service life of secondary cooling loops.
