The Georg Fischer COOL-FIT 2.0 PE/stainless steel adaptor fitting provides a robust, vapor-tight mechanical transition between pre-insulated polyethylene cooling pipework and threaded metallic equipment. Engineered with a metric PE100 SDR11 spigot end for electrofusion jointing directly into COOL-FIT 2.0 fittings or pipes, the component transitions to an acid-resistant stainless steel 1.4404 (AISI 316L) loose union nut with female parallel pipe thread G in accordance with ISO 228. The fitting incorporates an EPDM flat seal for dependable, leak-proof compression sealing and is supplied complete with a purpose-built NBR closed-cell foam insulation jacket. This pre-cut insulation layer prevents thermal bridging across the metallic interface, completely eliminating outer condensation and subsequent external or galvanic corrosion in chilled-water networks. Rated for nominal operating pressures up to 16 bar (PN16) across fluid temperatures spanning 0 degrees Celsius to +60 degrees Celsius, it is ideally configured for HVAC air conditioning circuits, data center chiller loops, process cooling systems, and commercial refrigeration tie-ins where demountable connections simplify valve, pump, or terminal unit maintenance. The combined chemical resistance of PE100 polyethylene and marine-grade 316L stainless steel guarantees incrustation-free flow dynamics and reliable, zero-maintenance service over a 25-year operational lifespan.
