The Georg Fischer COOL-FIT 2.0 PE/brass adaptor fitting is an engineered transition solution designed to seamlessly connect pre-insulated PE100 chilled-water piping circuits to metallic threaded components, manifolds, and equipment. Featuring a metric PE100 SDR11 spigot end paired with a robust CuZn40Pb2 brass female thread (Rp according to ISO 7-1), this transition component facilitates dependable mechanical connections within secondary refrigeration and HVAC systems. The internal sealing arrangement utilizes a durable EPDM O-ring gasket, engineered to maintain reliable pressure integrity up to 16 bar under continuous operational conditions. Each adaptor is supplied complete with factory-matched insulation made from closed-cell NBR foam, engineered to encapsulate the transition zone, thereby preventing cold bridges, stopping moisture ingress, and eliminating external condensation on chilled lines. Rated for medium operating temperatures ranging from 0 degrees Celsius to +60 degrees Celsius, the fitting is fully compatible with chilled water as well as water-glycol mixtures commonly utilized in commercial air conditioning, data center infrastructure, brewery and winery cooling lines, and industrial process loops. The bare PE100 spigot end connects directly into COOL-FIT 2.0 Type A electrofusion couplers and fittings, enabling swift, traceable, and homogeneous electrofusion jointing without requiring cumbersome hot-work permits or post-insulation fabrication. By combining vapor-tight closed-cell thermal insulation with corrosion-resistant brass and high-density polyethylene, this transition fitting delivers long-term hydraulic efficiency, zero maintenance, and optimal energy retention across industrial cooling installations.
