The Georg Fischer COOL-FIT 2.0/4.0 PE/iFIT weld-in port enables efficient, space-optimized branching and direct transitions from pre-insulated chilled water carrier pipes to the flexible COOL-FIT Push System or standard iFIT modular installations. Engineered for integration onto main pipe diameters ranging from d63 mm to d225 mm, this specialized saddle-fusion component features a robust PE100 weld-in port cone fused directly into the core media pipe wall alongside a factory-fitted, high-performance brass iFIT module. Sealing reliability between the thermoplastic base and the metallic interface is guaranteed by a high-grade EPDM O-ring gasket engineered to withstand continuous thermal cycling without elastic memory degradation. With a nominal pressure rating of PN16 (16 bar) at fluid media temperatures between 0 degrees and +60 degrees Celsius, this branch fitting eliminates the need for bulky prefabricated reducing tees, substantially minimizing thermal bridge development and maintaining uncompromised insulation continuity across commercial HVAC, data center infrastructure, and industrial process cooling loops. The modular design features an outlet connection sized for d1 25/32 mm with a protrusion height P1 of 28 mm and an overall z-dimension calculation of 92 mm plus half the nominal main pipe outside diameter (92 + d/2 mm), delivering a net weight of just 0.228 kg. Fully compatible with COOL-FIT 2.0, COOL-FIT 2.0F, COOL-FIT 4.0, and COOL-FIT 4.0F systems, this fitting utilizes an integrated weld-in geometry installed via dedicated hot-tool socket-fusion equipment, offering maximum layout adaptability at any point along existing or newly constructed pre-insulated header runs. Joint completion into the secondary distribution piping or fan-coil drop is executed using a matching modular iFIT adapter, ensuring leak-tight fluid containment and vapor barrier integrity across uninterrupted industrial cooling operations.
