Georg Fischer engineered the COOL-FIT 2.0/4.0 PE/stainless steel adaptor union with male thread R to deliver a robust, demountable transition between pre-insulated polyethylene cooling circuits and threaded metallic equipment or components. Built specifically for industrial refrigeration, data center cooling, food and beverage processing, and commercial chilled-water HVAC installations, the adaptor union facilitates rapid servicing, inspection, and component disconnection without compromising hydraulic performance or thermal integrity. The assembly comprises an SDR11 PE100 spigot union bush with a metric plain end suitable for electrofusion jointing via standard COOL-FIT fittings, a heavy-duty union end manufactured from premium AISI 316L / 1.4404 stainless steel featuring an external taper pipe thread R conforming to ISO 7 standards, an engineered PEGF25 glass-fiber reinforced polyethylene union nut, and a high-performance EPDM O-ring gasket. Designed for nominal working pressures up to 16 bar and medium operational temperatures ranging from 0 degrees Celsius to +60 degrees Celsius, the unit guarantees moisture-proof sealing and complete resistance to condensation-induced corrosion. Compatible across both COOL-FIT 2.0 and COOL-FIT 4.0 pre-insulated piping architectures covering metric sizes from d32 up to d63 mm (DN25 to DN50 with R 1 inch to R 2 inch male threads), it establishes a dependable, tension-free connection to chillers, heat exchangers, manifolds, and metallic valves while simplifying ongoing facility maintenance.
