The Georg Fischer COOL-FIT 2.0/4.0 adaptor fitting PE/brass female thread Rp engineered for secondary cooling, industrial refrigeration, and chilled-water systems provides an exceptionally robust transition between polyethylene distribution lines and metallic threaded equipment. Configured with a metric PE100 SDR11 spigot end on one side and a premium CuZn40Pb2 brass threaded bush with an internal Rp thread on the other, this transition fitting guarantees an absolute mechanical and hydraulic connection rated for nominal operating pressures up to 16 bar. The internal sealing arrangement utilizes an elastomer EPDM O-ring precisely seated between the polyethylene body and the brass insert to prevent fluid ingress and preserve hermetic sealing across sustained thermal fluctuations. The metric spigot with a bare free end allows seamless jointing into pre-insulated piping networks using electrofusion couplers or butt fusion methods, making it entirely compatible with COOL-FIT 2.0 and COOL-FIT 4.0 systems across outer media pipe diameters from d32 mm up to d63 mm (DN25 to DN50). Operating reliably within media temperature ranges from 0 degrees Celsius to +60 degrees Celsius, the fitting eliminates electrolytic and condensation issues commonly experienced in traditional all-metal cooling loops. The factory-engineered brass transition module incorporates ISO 7-1 standard female cylindrical pipe threads ranging from Rp 1/2 inch to Rp 2 inches, allowing direct, vibration-resistant attachment to instrumentation, valves, flexible hoses, or mechanical plant equipment. By combining corrosion-free PE100 polyethylene with high-grade brass, this adaptor ensures long-term operational integrity and hydraulic efficiency in closed cooling loops, commercial HVAC installations, and process cooling plants.
