The Georg Fischer Type 562 check valve in PVC-C provides unidirectional flow control and backflow prevention in pressurised industrial piping, in both horizontal and vertical installation. A double-guided, flow-optimised cone works against an internal 1.4310 stainless steel spring, so the closing movement stays guided, quiet and free of vibration even at high flow velocities or on sudden flow reversal, limiting water hammer and protecting upstream pumps, dosing units and measuring instruments.

The spring-assisted cone reaches 100 percent leak tightness without requiring a high hydrostatic head: a hermetic seal is already established at 1 metre water column. The valve is rated PN16 at a reference temperature of 20 degrees, and its face-to-face length is identical to the Georg Fischer Type 546 ball valve series, so the check valve and the shut-off valve remain interchangeable within modular assemblies without altering the pipe run.

The body is manufactured from chlorinated polyvinyl chloride (PVC-C) in Agate Grey RAL 7038. Unlike PVC-U, PVC-C retains its mechanical rigidity and pressure resistance at elevated temperatures up to 80 degrees under load, and withstands concentrated mineral acids, alkalis and salt solutions, while remaining flame retardant with high impact strength.

Connection is by metric solvent cement sockets to ISO and DIN dimensional standards across d16 to d110 mm, with EPDM or FKM elastomeric seals; valve face-to-face dimensions within the PVC-C system follow EN 558 and ISO 5752. Typical duties include the chemical process industry, industrial water and wastewater treatment, demineralised water, electroplating and surface treatment, microelectronics and printed circuit board manufacturing, and automated chemical dosing lines.
