Engineered for demanding industrial environments, this PN10 rated fitting integrates a metric ABS solvent cement socket bush with a butt welding union end and union nut manufactured from stainless steel WN 1.4404 (AISI 316L). By connecting plastic and metal circuits, it enables rapid disassembly and maintenance of pumps, valves, and process equipment without cutting pipework.

The hybrid construction pairs thermoplastic advantages with metallic structural integrity. The ABS socket bush, manufactured in RAL 7001 gravel grey, offers outstanding impact strength, notch toughness, and resistance to scaling. The union end and union nut, precision-machined from austenitic stainless steel 1.4404 (316L), provide high resistance against crevice and pitting corrosion in aggressive environments. Sealing integrity is maintained under 10 bar nominal pressure at 20 degrees Celsius by a resilient EPDM O-ring gasket that absorbs mechanical vibration and dynamic thermal expansion stresses.

Installation combines standard solvent welding with metal welding procedures. The ABS bush connects to metric piping using Tangit ABS adhesive, while the stainless steel end is butt welded into the metallic system prior to final assembly to avoid thermal degradation of the polymer bush or elastomer seal. The threaded union nut allows full mechanical disconnection whenever equipment requires cleaning, recalibration, or replacement.
