The Georg Fischer ELGEF Plus PE/Stainless Steel transition adapter with female thread (FI / Rp) provides a factory-assembled, permanent transition between high-density polyethylene (PE100) piping and threaded metal components. Engineered for demanding utility and industrial distribution networks, this transition fitting combines high-grade PE100 virgin compound with corrosion-resistant V2A stainless steel. The fitting is designed for electrofusion jointing within SDR 11 pipeline configurations, maintaining full mechanical integrity under continuous operating pressures of up to 16 bar for water and 10 bar for combustible gas networks.

Manufactured to exacting engineering tolerances, the internal female thread allows direct, leak-free connection to threaded metal valves, instrumentation, and piping sections without compromising the pressure envelope. The factory-engineered junction between the polyethylene socket/spigot body and the stainless steel insert eliminates rotational movement and tensile pull-out risks under pressure surges or thermal cycling. The PE100 component demonstrates outstanding chemical resistance, high Charpy impact strength across temperatures down to -40 degrees Celsius, and complete resistance to electrochemical corrosion.

This adapter integrates seamlessly with the ELGEF Plus electrofusion system, utilizing standard 4 mm connector pins and embedded fusion indicators that confirm proper melt pressure during installation. The fitting accommodates standard pipe SDR ranges from SDR 9 to SDR 11 across diameters from d20 mm up to d63 mm, with female thread dimensions from 1/2 inch to 2 inches. It complies with major international pipeline standards including EN 12201-1 for potable water systems and EN 1555-3 for gas distribution networks, holding extensive quality approvals such as DVGW, SVGW, KIWA, and ACS.
