The BLUCAST dismantling joint with stainless steel tie rods is a telescopic flanged fitting that simplifies the installation, alignment and later removal of flanged valves, pumps, flow meters and industrial piping assemblies. The body and flanges are cast in ductile iron EN-GJS-500-7, while the tie bars, bolts and nuts are AISI 304 / A2 stainless steel. Offered in DN80, DN100 and DN150, the joint is rated PN10 / PN16 (10 / 16 bar) and provides the longitudinal adjustment needed to open a flanged section without stressing the adjacent equipment.

It is specified in utility and industrial water distribution networks, pumping stations and treatment plants. Surface protection is an electrostatically applied thermoset epoxy powder coating, minimum 250 µm thick, in RAL 5015 sky blue; the WRAS-approved coating resists corrosion, chemical attack and tuberculation, so the fitting suits drinking water and neutral liquids up to 80 degrees Celsius. Sealing is by a high-grade EPDM elastomeric gasket, with a working temperature range of 0 degrees Celsius to +80 degrees Celsius.

The tie rods span the full flanged connection, allowing controlled expansion and compression during assembly and locking the fitting securely in place under operating pressure thrust. This rigid locking prevents axial pull-out while compensating for thermal movement and minor structural misalignment. Flange drillings comply with EN 1092-2 (PN10/16), making the joint compatible with standard isolation valves, check valves and metering stations.
