The Type 039 pneumatic wafer butterfly valve with double-acting (DA) actuation provides automated on-off and modulating flow control for industrial piping systems. Operating on compressed air supplied at 4 to 10 bar for both opening and closing cycles, the double-acting pneumatic cylinder ensures rapid dynamic response and consistent operating torque across the full quarter-turn rotation. This setup delivers reliable bi-directional sealing without the torque drop associated with spring-return mechanisms.

The valve body is cast from ductile iron GGG40 and protected by a robust Rilsan coating, providing high resistance to mechanical impact, abrasion, and aggressive atmospheric exposure. The flow-optimized disc is precision-manufactured from uncoated 1.4408 stainless steel, ensuring excellent chemical resistance, erosion resistance, and structural integrity. A solid one-piece square stem in 1.4021 stainless steel transmits drive torque directly to the disc with zero backlash, maximizing control precision.

Manufactured with a compact face-to-face length conforming to EN 558 series 20, this wafer-pattern valve installs securely between pipeline flanges, minimizing overall installation footprint and mechanical stress. The mounting flange conforms to DIN EN ISO 5211 for direct, rigid actuator attachment. Available in nominal outside diameters from d63 mm up to d315 mm, the valve accommodates interchangeable EPDM, FKM, or NBR liner seals to meet specific chemical compatibility and operational requirements.
