This industrial Georg Fischer ABS union provides a separable joint designed for high-integrity metric thermoplastic piping systems. Manufactured from high-grade Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS), this three-piece assembly comprises two solvent cement socket ends, a threaded union nut, and a profiled EPDM O-ring gasket. Engineered to facilitate modular installation and equipment maintenance, the fitting allows piping sections, process instruments, pumps, and valves to be serviced or replaced without pipe cutting.

Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene provides high mechanical strength, excellent notch impact resistance at low operating temperatures, and proven resistance to water treatment chemicals, diluted acids, and inorganic salt solutions. Halogen-free and non-corroding, ABS prevents internal scale deposition and ensures full hydraulic bore capacity over a long service life. Rated up to PN15 at 20 degrees Celsius, this union ensures reliable fluid containment in industrial cooling, chilled water circuits, HVAC networks, water purification, and marine systems.

The metric sockets are manufactured to ensure optimal capillary bonding when jointed with Tangit ABS solvent cement. The resilient EPDM seal sits inside an integrated retention groove, preventing gasket displacement under vibration or thermal cycles. The robust ABS nut enables reliable joint compression without specialized tools, allowing clean and leak-tight disconnections whenever routine maintenance is required.
