The Georg Fischer 90-degree equal tee in PE100 SDR17 is a large-diameter branch fitting for transmission mains, municipal water networks and high-capacity industrial headers. It covers nominal outside diameters from d710 mm to d1000 mm (DN700 to DN1000) and splits the flow at a right angle with equal main and branch bores, keeping the hydraulic resistance of the junction low in distribution headers, cooling loops and raw water intakes.

In this size class the tee is produced as a segment-welded fitting: the body is cut and welded from PE100 pipe sections rather than injection moulded, which is what makes the d710–d1000 geometry possible. Overall length L runs from 1410 mm to 2040 mm, the distance L1 to the branch axis from 705 mm to 1020 mm and the branch height L2 from 350 mm to 520 mm, with wall thicknesses between 42.1 mm and 59.3 mm.

The long spigot ends leave enough straight pipe for the clamping jaws of standard butt fusion machines, so the fitting is joined by conventional butt welding according to DVS 2207, without adapters or short-stub workarounds. Because of the segment-welded construction, this tee does not reach the full pressure rating of the SDR17 series: a pressure reduction factor of 0.6 applies to the design pressure of the line.
