The Georg Fischer SYGEF Standard Ball Valve Type 181 is an electrically actuated thermoplastic valve engineered for precise on/off and flow control in high-purity and aggressive chemical distribution systems. Manufactured from unpigmented, stress-relieved polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF), the assembly delivers superior chemical resistance against concentrated oxidizing acids, salts, solvents, and fuels across an operating temperature range from -20 degrees up to +140 degrees Celsius. Powered by an integrated 100-230V (50-60 Hz) electric actuator rated to IP68 protection, the system features a factory-configured 90 degrees operating angle, an integrated internal heating element to prevent internal condensation, and optical and electrical position feedback for open, closed, and intermediate states. An integrated manual emergency override ensures safe mechanical intervention during plant commissioning, troubleshooting, or power loss without dismantling the drive. Metric ISO fusion sockets allow seamless integration into standard PVDF pipelines using standard socket fusion welding techniques. Stainless steel threaded inserts integrated directly into the valve base ensure secure anchoring and vibration-resistant installation onto pipe supports. High operational safety and process integrity are maintained through high-performance FKM seals, smooth internal surfaces with low surface roughness compliant with SEMI F57 standards, and optional compatibility with advanced industrial communication cards including Profibus DP, Modbus TCP, positioners, and digital monitoring modules.
