The Georg Fischer Type 127 ABS electrically actuated ball valve is engineered for automated flow control across industrial piping installations. Driven by an EA15 electric actuator operating on a 100-230V AC (50-60 Hz) power supply, this valve assembly combines proven thermoplastic valve mechanics with reliable electric actuation. Sized across metric diameters d20/DN15 through d63/DN50, it features long butt fusion spigots for direct integration into metric ABS pipe networks, delivering a nominal pressure rating of PN10 (10 bar at 20 degrees C) and a high flow capacity with kv values reaching up to 3100 l/min.

The valve body is manufactured from gravel grey RAL 7001 Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS), offering high impact strength, low thermal conductivity, and corrosion resistance. It is well suited for secondary refrigeration, chilled water circuits, water treatment, and marine utilities. Fluid sealing is achieved via low-friction PTFE ball seats and durable EPDM backing gaskets, ensuring dependable shut-off and consistent torque. Integrated stainless steel threaded mounting inserts at the valve base allow secure mechanical fixation, protecting the piping system from operational twisting forces during actuation.

The mounted EA15 actuator is enclosed in a durable glass-fibre reinforced polypropylene (PP-GF) housing. It features a factory-configured 90 degrees operating angle, an integrated heating element to avoid internal condensation, and dual optical and electrical position feedback for open and closed positions. A manual emergency override allows hand operation during commissioning or power failure. The unit is also fully compatible with an optional fail-safe return battery module to ensure fail-safe positioning during sudden plant power loss.
