The Georg Fischer SYGEF Standard ball valve type 546 Pro with fixed flange PVDF ISO is an engineered flow-control valve developed for demanding industrial processing, aggressive chemical distribution, and high-purity water conveyance. Manufactured from unpigmented, high-grade polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF), the valve operates reliably across a wide working temperature range from -20 degrees to +140 degrees Celsius and maintains a nominal pressure rating of PN16. Fluid shut-off and throttling reliability are achieved through an engineered PTFE ball seat arrangement and high-performance FKM elastomeric seals, ensuring minimal operating torque and long-term chemical resistance against corrosive media including aggressive acids and solvents. The fixed flange connection ends conform to metric ISO dimensions, enabling rigid, vibration-resistant bolted flanged integration into process piping skids without requiring loose backing rings or separate fusion adaptors. Operation is performed manually via an ergonomic lockable hand lever fitted as standard, which prevents unauthorized adjustments in safety-critical installations. The valve body incorporates integrated stainless steel threaded mounting inserts (M6 and M8 depending on size), facilitating direct structural anchoring or automated bracket assembly. Designed around a fully modular platform, the Type 546 Pro maintains dimensional backward compatibility for its z-dimension, valve ends, and union nuts with first-generation Type 546 assemblies, allowing effortless drop-in modernization of existing pipework. Furthermore, the unit can be retrofitted with an optional position feedback interface module featuring LED indication (PNP, NPN, NAMUR), a spring-return dead man lever for fail-safe manual handling, or pneumatic and electric actuators from Georg Fischer for integrated process automation across chemical distribution lines, pharmaceutical purified water (PW), and deionized (DI) loops.
