The metric PVC-U fixed flange PN16 from Georg Fischer (GF Piping Systems) is a one-piece unplasticised polyvinyl chloride fitting for rigid, detachable flanged connections in industrial piping networks. It is rated for a nominal working pressure of 16 bar at 20 degrees Celsius and integrates a solvent cement socket, allowing direct jointing to metric industrial pipe across outside diameters from d20 mm to d160 mm. The integral bolt circle follows metric flange practice in line with EN ISO 1452-3 and the DIN EN 1092-1 drilling pattern, so the flange mates securely with metal, thermoplastic or lined process equipment, valves and pumps.

Moulded in dark grey PVC-U (RAL 7011), the flange offers high chemical resistance to inorganic acids, alkalis and saline solutions typical of industrial water treatment, chemical processing and distribution networks. The compound contains no plasticisers, which keeps it physiologically inert and suitable for potable water and food-processing fluids. For flanged assemblies the medium temperature limit is 45 degrees Celsius, and pressure de-rating applies above 20 degrees Celsius.

Jointing is by metric solvent cementing (socket fusion) with compatible Tangit cements, after mechanical chamfering of the pipe end and cleaning with the dedicated cleaner. Flat or profiled EPDM or FKM gaskets are fitted between the jointing faces and the bolts tightened crosswise to the specified torque so the load is spread evenly over the bolt circle.
