The Georg Fischer SYGEF Standard Ball Valve Type 181 provides automated on/off flow isolation in high-purity and aggressive chemical process systems. Fabricated from premium polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF), this electrically actuated valve operates reliably across a wide service temperature range of -20 degrees C to +140 degrees C under a nominal operating pressure of PN10. It is powered by a robust electric actuator designed for supply voltages of 100-230 V at 50-60 Hz, protected by an IP68-rated housing, and features a factory-calibrated 90-degree rotary control range alongside an integrated manual emergency override for continuous operational safety. The assembly incorporates an internal heating element to prevent condensation, comprehensive position feedback signaling (Open/Close/Middle), and integrated stainless steel threaded mounting inserts for vibration-resistant installation. Equipped with chemically resilient FKM seals and a smooth PTFE ball seat, the valve utilizes metric butt fusion IR-Plus spigots compatible with infrared and standard butt welding techniques, ensuring crevice-free joints in demanding chemical distribution networks, pharmaceutical purified water loops, and deionized water treatment plants. The unit also supports optional field expansions including fail-safe return units, position controllers, monitoring boards, and Profibus DP network modules.
