The Georg Fischer Multi/Clamp flanged tapping sleeve with an overall length of 600 mm provides an engineered, permanent solution for flanged branch connections and under-pressure tapping on utility networks. Designed for both buried and aboveground pipelines, this heavy-duty double-band stainless steel tapping clamp allows flanged valves, air release valves and hydrants to be installed without interrupting supply or depressurising the distribution main.

The housing and lugs are manufactured entirely from passivated AISI 304 (A2) stainless steel, with AISI 316 available on request. Production takes place in a dedicated stainless-steel-only environment and all joints are made by automated robotic welding, which excludes cross-contamination and contact corrosion over the full service life of the fitting.

Sealing on the pipe is achieved by a full-circle waffle-profile gasket, supplied in NBR to EN 682 (operating range -10 degrees C to +70 degrees C for water and gas) or EPDM to EN 681-1 (-10 degrees C to +55 degrees C for drinking water). The flanged branch gasket incorporates an integrated stainless steel reinforcement ring that maintains dimensional stability and long-term joint integrity under continuous working pressure. The flange drilling pattern follows EN/DIN PN 10 / PN 16; for gas working pressures, consult Georg Fischer Waga N.V.

Wide dimensional tolerance makes the sleeve suitable for ductile iron, grey cast iron, steel, HDPE, PVC-U and asbestos cement mains; for plastic pipes the installation parameters are confirmed with Georg Fischer Waga N.V. Variants cover pipe outside diameters of 315 mm to 355 mm and nominal sizes from DN 350 to DN 800, in PN 10 or PN 16 execution.
