Multi/Clamp Double Stainless Steel Pipe Repair Clamp L=500mm

  Data Sheet |   Product Range

The Georg Fischer Multi/Clamp Double repair clamp with an extended body length of L=500mm provides a permanent, heavy-duty sealing solution for severe pipeline damage across industrial, utility, and civil engineering networks. Featuring a two-part split band design manufactured entirely from passivated AISI 304 stainless steel (with AISI 316 available on request), this dual-section clamp delivers a broad outer diameter tolerance range and substantial longitudinal coverage. The 500 mm length is engineered specifically to bridge extensive corrosion pits, longitudinal cracks, structural fracture lines, and localized mechanical damage across distribution mains and industrial process piping without requiring pipe section replacement.

Engineered for universal compatibility, the Multi/Clamp Double seals reliably against all standard rigid and thermoplastic pipe materials, including ductile iron, cast iron, carbon steel, asbestos cement, PEHD, and PVC-U. Sealing integrity is established by a full-circle waffled rubber gasket that conforms tightly around surface irregularities, pipe ovality, and rough exterior surfaces. The standard NBR gasket is certified to EN 682 for gas distribution and general water systems within a working temperature envelope of -10 degrees Celsius to +70 degrees Celsius. For dedicated potable water networks, certified EPDM gaskets conforming to EN 681-1 are available for operation from -10 degrees Celsius to +55 degrees Celsius.

Manufactured in a specialized stainless-steel-only environment with robotic welding and complete chemical passivation, the assembly is fully protected against galvanic degradation and contact corrosion in aggressive soil conditions or industrial environments. The dual-band construction allows quick wraparound mounting directly over live or depressurized lines under underground buried or aboveground operating conditions.
