The Georg Fischer Type 546 Pro vented ball valve in chlorinated polyvinyl chloride (PVC-C) is an engineered industrial solution designed specifically for media prone to outgassing, such as sodium hypochlorite, hydrogen peroxide, and chlorinated water. To prevent dangerous pressure spikes inside the valve ball cavity when closed, this specialized unit features a precision 3 mm drilled relief bore on the upstream side, directing expanding gases back into the piping system safely.

This automated assembly is actuated by a robust double-acting (DA) pneumatic actuator manufactured from glass-fiber reinforced polypropylene (PP-GF). Operating at a standard control pressure of 5.6 bar, the actuator interfaces seamlessly with pilot valves and positioners via an integrated VDI/VDE 3845 NAMUR standard connection. The unit includes a high-visibility optical position indicator and integrated stainless steel mounting inserts for secure structural support in demanding process plants.

Built to withstand aggressive chemical environments and temperatures up to 80 degrees, the valve body is constructed from high-grade PVC-C in agate grey (RAL 7038). It features low-friction polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) ball seats and high-integrity elastomeric seals available in either EPDM or FKM.
