The Georg Fischer PVC-C Ball Valve Type 546 Pro P DA provides high-performance automated flow regulation and isolation in chemical processes, industrial water treatment, and high-temperature fluid handling installations. Engineered as an integrated automated unit, this assembly pairs the robust Type 546 Pro valve body with an efficient pneumatic double-acting actuator housed in glass-fiber reinforced polypropylene (PP-GF).

Designed with metric solvent cement spigots for reliable solvent cementing into industrial PVC-C piping networks, the valve covers outside diameters from d16 up to d63 with a nominal pressure rating of 10 bar at 20 degrees Celsius. Manufactured from chlorinated polyvinyl chloride (PVC-C, RAL 7038 Agate Grey), the body exhibits outstanding chemical resistance against hot aggressive acids, alkalis, and oxidizing media, surpassing conventional PVC-U at operating temperatures up to 80 degrees Celsius.

Internal sealing relies on precision-machined PTFE ball seats paired with resilient EPDM or FKM backing O-rings, ensuring bubble-tight bidirectional shut-off with low operating torque. The pneumatic double-acting actuator uses compressed air for both opening and closing strokes, providing dependable cycle repeatability and swift response. A mechanical visual indicator displays immediate ball position, while the integrated manual override allows safe operation during plant commissioning or air maintenance.

Automation integration is simplified through a standardized NAMUR interface conforming to VDI/VDE 3845 for direct mounting of pilot solenoid valves and electrical feedback boxes. The valve base incorporates integrated stainless steel threaded inserts to absorb mechanical solicitations and ensure rigid installation on pipe brackets. Furthermore, the overall face-to-face z-dimension, valve ends, and union nuts maintain backward compatibility with legacy Type 546 assemblies, facilitating easy retrofits without repiping.
