TeraPlast PP adaptor bend to steel pipe is an engineered piping component designed for gravity-fed soil and waste discharge as well as ventilation networks within residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. Configured specifically for connecting metallic piping, sanitary fixtures, and siphon discharge outlets directly into the polypropylene interior drainage network, the fitting provides a secure, directional transition without requiring chemical adhesives or mechanical threading. Manufactured from high-grade grey polypropylene through precision injection moulding, the adaptor features a factory-fitted EPDM elastomeric socket seal that guarantees persistent hydraulic tightness even under thermal expansion, slight building vibrations, or pipe deflection. The fitting is rated for a continuous operating fluid temperature of up to 60 degrees Celsius, with short-term resistance reaching 95 degrees Celsius for intermittent hot waste discharges, as well as dependable shock resistance at cold ambient temperatures down to -15 degrees Celsius. Due to the inherent chemical stability of polypropylene, the component is completely resistant to household wastewater containing aggressive detergents, acidic solutions, and caustic agents across an extensive pH spectrum of pH 2 to pH 12. Its hydraulically smooth interior bore, characterized by a Manning roughness coefficient of 0.01, prevents scale adhesion, sediment deposits, and flow restrictions over time. Designed and manufactured in conformity with SR EN 1451-1/2 and technical specification SF98/2017, the adaptor bend has an anticipated service lifespan of at least 50 years, ensuring robust, maintenance-free integration within contemporary building drainage infrastructure.
