The Georg Fischer MSA 340 electrofusion welding unit is engineered for jointing polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP) piping systems from d20 mm to d1400 mm. Built for municipal gas and water networks and industrial installations, this unit provides high power output and strict quality assurance. Operating on 230V or 115V power supplies, the MSA 340 delivers an output fusion voltage of 8 to 48 V and a maximum current of 100 A, accommodating standard fittings and large-diameter couplers. An integrated sensor system applies automatic energy output compensation across an ambient temperature range of -10 degrees to +45 degrees Celsius, maintaining exact melt conditions in hot and cold weather. Built for jobsite efficiency, its thermal design and electrical switch support continuous series welding without delay.

Documentation is central to the MSA 340 platform. The machine features integrated GPS positioning that logs exact geographic coordinates for every joint alongside operator badge data and job codes. In accordance with ISO 12176-4 traceability standards, fusion parameters are recorded through a barcode scanner or manual input. Its internal memory holds up to 1000 protocols, exportable via USB in universal PDF and CSV formats for quality auditing, customer records, and GIS mapping.

Enclosed in a die-cast aluminium housing with IP65 protection, the MSA 340 protects its internal electronics against dust and water spray in demanding pipeline trenches. A high-contrast graphical LCD provides intuitive menu navigation. The unit includes a 4-metre mains cable, a 4-metre fusion cable, and 4.0 mm and 4.7 mm angle connector adapters, offering installers dependable versatility across field and workshop installations.
