The Georg Fischer ELGEF Plus DUO-BLOC electrofusion tapping saddle in PE100 is engineered for high-integrity branching from pressurised utility mains. Designed for water networks up to 16 bar and natural gas distribution up to 10 bar, this modular electrofusion fitting provides a robust, gas-tight, and watertight secondary connection without requiring complete system depressurisation. Manufactured from 100% virgin, fully compounded PE100 resin conforming to EN 12201 and EN 1555 standards, it delivers exceptional resistance to crack propagation, environmental stress, and chemical degradation across an estimated service life exceeding 100 years.

A key technical feature of the DUO-BLOC modular saddle system is its 360 degrees rotatable outlet spigot. This provides complete spatial flexibility during lateral pipe alignment, significantly simplifying pipe layout and reducing mechanical tension on connecting service lines. The fitting is equipped with an integrated stainless steel or brass internal cutter mechanism that enables clean under-pressure tapping, ensuring minimal head loss and preventing PE shaving debris from contaminating the downstream line.

Optimised for high-efficiency on-site assembly, the saddle integrates standardised 4 mm electrofusion connector pins, high-precision heating coils for uniform thermal distribution, and limited-path fusion indicators for rapid visual confirmation of joint completion. The embedded Track & Trace barcode system ensures complete digital traceability throughout installation and asset documentation.
