The Georg Fischer MSA 2 MULTI automatic electrofusion unit is engineered for high-efficiency jointing of PE, PP, PVDF, and PB pressure piping systems across a dimensional range of d16 mm to d630 mm (1/2 inch to 12 inches). Driven by advanced inverter power switching technology, the unit combines lightweight portability with industrial performance, supplying an electronically controlled output voltage from 3.6 V to 40 V and a maximum welding current of 90 A. The machine accommodates demanding installation workflows across utility distribution networks and specialized industrial piping, including INSTAFLEX PB (d125 to d225), Fuseal (1 1/2 inches to 12 inches), and PPro-Seal (1/2 inch to 3 inches) jointing. Operation is streamlined into three primary steps: connecting leads, scanning fitting data via the long-range barcode scanner (or entering parameters manually), and initiating the fusion process. Integrated microprocessors continuously monitor and regulate all electrofusion parameters, executing automatic energy output compensation in response to ambient temperatures ranging from -20 degrees C to +50 degrees C, alongside real-time calculation and clear display of cooling intervals. Designed for rugged trench and workshop conditions, the compact 11.9 kg assembly is rated to Class 1 / IP 65 ingress protection and features an active cooling system that facilitates continuous consecutive jointing cycles without thermal downtime. User interaction is simplified through an intuitive, symbol-based interface displayed on a high-contrast graphical LCD screen. The internal non-volatile memory securely archives up to 1000 welding protocols, exportable as finalized PDF reports via a built-in USB Type-A port for comprehensive project traceability. Compatible with 230 V mains supplies (190 V to 265 V, 50 to 60 Hz) and 3.5 kVA power generators, the package comes complete with a 4 m power cable, 3 m fusion cable, 4.0 mm angle adapter clips, START/STOP operator badge, USB stick, robust transport case, mini Welding Book, and dedicated SeaDrain adapters with barcodes.
