The ELGEF Plus 22-degree PE100 SDR11 spigot bend manufactured by Georg Fischer is an engineered polyethylene fitting designed for directional alignment in pressurized piping networks. Manufactured from high-density polyethylene grade PE100, this long-spigot bend offers superior structural stability, high stress crack resistance, and smooth internal surfaces that significantly minimize hydraulic head loss and turbulence compared to sharper segmental elbows. Operating at a nominal pressure rating of PN16 bar for water conveyance and PN10 bar for combustible gas networks, the fitting delivers long-term durability across buried infrastructure, utility supply lines, and aggressive industrial fluid handling systems.

Fabricated from high-integrity seamless PE100 pipe with a standard bending radius of 1.5 times the outside diameter (R = 1.5 × d), this component preserves pipe wall uniformity and circular cross-section integrity throughout the curved profile. The extended spigot ends provide generous clamping lengths, accommodating both electrofusion couplers and butt fusion welding equipment. In accordance with Georg Fischer engineering instructions, bends manufactured from seamless pipe must never be shortened or trimmed on site; retaining the factory-calibrated spigot dimensions ensures optimal weld alignment, proper cold zone seating within electrofusion fittings, and complete structural reliability under operating pressure.
