The Georg Fischer iJoint 90 degrees reducing tee is an advanced polypropylene compression fitting designed for branching and size transitions in polyethylene (PE 80, PE 100) and PEX piping networks. Engineered for high-integrity potable water distribution, industrial process lines, and pressurized utility installations, this reducing tee provides a dependable, mechanical joint rated for nominal operating pressures up to PN16 (16 bar). Manufactured from UV-stabilized polypropylene impact copolymer (PP-B), the fitting delivers exceptional long-term resistance to environmental stress cracking, UV exposure, and internal hydraulic surges across an operating temperature range of -10 °C to +45 °C.

At the heart of the iJoint system is an innovative push-fit mechanism that allows direct pipe insertion without dismantling the fitting or beveling the pipe ends. The internal factory-lubricated EPDM lip gasket profile creates an immediate, reliable hydraulic seal that compensates effectively for ovalized, undersized, or surface-scratched pipes. Simultaneously, the integrated polyacetal (POM) grip ring securely anchors into the pipe wall upon tightening the blue polypropylene compression nut, ensuring outstanding tensile restraint and pull-out resistance under heavy dynamic loads and severe water hammer events without restricting flow capacity.
