The Georg Fischer ELGEF Plus 30-degree bend in PE100 SDR11 is an engineered long-spigot fitting manufactured from seamless high-density polyethylene pipe, engineered for pressurized water distribution, utility infrastructure, and demanding industrial fluid transport. Rated for continuous operation at PN16 (16 bar water at 20°C), this fitting provides exceptional structural integrity and long-term hydrostatic strength. Manufactured in an extensive dimensional envelope spanning outer diameters from d32 mm up to d900 mm (DN25 to DN900), the fitting accommodates wall thicknesses from 2.9 mm to 81.8 mm, ensuring seamless matching with standard SDR11 polyethylene piping networks.

Constructed with a continuous 1.5×d bend radius (R = 48 mm to 1350 mm), this 30° seamless bend delivers optimized internal hydraulics, significantly reducing local turbulence, head loss, and hydraulic pressure drop across direction changes compared to mitered or short-radius alternatives. The seamless pipe extrusion process guarantees uniform wall thickness throughout the entire arc geometry, preventing internal stress concentrations and maximizing resistance against rapid crack propagation and pressure surges. Important installation guideline: seamless pipe bends must not be shortened on-site under any circumstances, as maintaining factory spigot lengths is essential for proper alignment and stress distribution.

The fitting features extended spigot ends (L dimensions from 80 mm up to 400 mm and z dimensions from 113 mm up to 1150 mm) designed for maximum installation versatility. It is fully compatible with both electrofusion (EF) couplers and conventional butt fusion (BF) welding procedures in accordance with DVS 2207 welding guidelines. The high-grade PE100 polymer delivers outstanding resistance to aggressive chemicals, soil corrosion, scale formation, and biological degradation, eliminating the need for protective coatings or cathodic protection in underground and surface installations.
