The Georg Fischer DIASTAR Ten pneumatic diaphragm valve in post-chlorinated polyvinyl chloride (PVC-C) is an engineered industrial solution designed for automated flow control of aggressive media. Manufactured in Agate Grey (RAL 7038), this valve operates in fail-safe-to-close (FC) mode, utilizing robust internal springs to shut down flow automatically upon pilot air pressure failure. Built for demanding chemical processing, surface finishing, and industrial water treatment installations, it delivers high chemical resistance and thermal performance up to 80 degrees Celsius, outperforming conventional unplasticized thermoplastics.

The valve body features an advanced, flow-optimized geometry providing up to double the flow rate of previous generations, significantly reducing pressure drop across the system. Servicing is streamlined by a single central housing nut that replaces traditional multi-bolt assemblies, guaranteeing uniform clamping force across the diaphragm without localized stress concentrations. The pneumatic actuator housing is molded from glass-fiber reinforced polypropylene (PP-GF) and features an air supply port rotatable by 90 degrees for flexible pneumatic line routing in tight pipe racks.

Engineered with metric solvent cement spigot ends according to ISO 727 and ISO 15493 standards, this DIASTAR Ten unit integrates directly into metric PVC-C pipelines. The standardized face-to-face length conforms to EN 558, ensuring straightforward interchangeability in modular systems. Operating at a nominal pressure of PN10 at 20 degrees Celsius, the valve is available with EPDM or PTFE/EPDM diaphragms and FKM seals, making it suitable for aggressive acids, bases, and high-purity media.
