The Georg Fischer (GF Piping Systems) iJOINT 654X clamp saddle with stainless steel bolts is a branch connection fitting for secondary offtakes on pressurised polyethylene (PE 80, PE 100, PEX) and PVC pipelines. The body is moulded in UV-stabilised polypropylene impact copolymer (PP-B), giving a non-corrosive take-off point free of rust and incrustation for potable water distribution, house connections and service lines, civil infrastructure and agricultural irrigation networks.

The parallel female threaded branch (DIN EN 10226 / ISO 7-1) carries an integrated AISI 430 stainless steel reinforcement ring, which spreads the tightening load and keeps the outlet dimensionally stable under mechanical stress and thermal cycling. Sealing against the pipe is by a food-safe NBR flat lip profile gasket, 70 Shore A; the lip geometry compensates for ovality, undersized diameters and longitudinal scratching of the pipe outer surface without loss of pressure retention.

Working pressure is PN16 (16 bar) from d20 mm up to d160 mm with branches up to 2 inches, and PN10 (10 bar) for the larger distribution sizes up to d315 mm. The operating temperature range is -10 degrees Celsius to +45 degrees Celsius. Materials comply with drinking water approvals including DVGW (KTW and W270), KIWA, ACS and IIP.

Installation requires no pipe preparation beyond cleaning the surface: the two clamp halves are positioned on the pipe and tightened with the stainless steel bolts and nuts, which resist soil chemistry, atmospheric corrosion and galvanic attack. The reinforced female thread then accepts male adaptors, transition nipples or isolating valves directly, forming a stable starting point for the service line. The fitting is maintenance-free and resistant to scale and encrustation over the long term. Supplied with threads from 1/2 inch to 4 inch across the d20 to d315 mm range.
