The ELGEF Plus Bend 30 degrees PE100 SDR17 is a long-version spigot fitting produced from seamless PE100 pipe and rated PN10 (10 bar, water). The programme covers d90 to d1000mm (DN80–DN1000) across 21 diameters, so one fitting family serves everything from secondary branches to large transport mains. Both ends are plain spigots, which keeps the jointing method open: electrofusion couplers or conventional butt fusion, executed according to DVS welding practice.

The geometry follows a constant 1.5×d bend radius, with R from 135mm at d90 up to 1500mm at d1000. A wide radius keeps the flow transition smooth and the local pressure loss low — relevant on pumped mains, where every direction change adds to the head requirement. Wall thickness follows the SDR17 series, from 5.4mm at d90 to 59.3mm at d1000, so the bend matches the SDR17 pipe it is welded into without an intermediate transition. The z dimension runs from 160mm to 1200mm and the spigot length (Q1) from 100mm to 450mm, leaving enough plain end for clamping and heating.

Because the body is formed from seamless pipe, these bends must not be shortened on site: the spigot length is dimensioned for the clamping and heating zone of the welding machine, and trimming it compromises the joint. Typical applications are water transport and distribution mains, irrigation headers, pumping station pipework and industrial or utility networks where a 30 degree change of direction is needed without a mitred, segment-welded detail.
