The Georg Fischer PVC-C brass adaptor union Rp provides an engineered, dismountable transition fitting designed to connect metric solvent cemented PVC-C piping lines to metallic equipment with cylindrical female Rp parallel threads. Comprising a post-chlorinated polyvinyl chloride metric socket bush, a high-strength PVC-C union nut, an engineered brass threaded insert, and a factory-fitted EPDM elastomeric sealing ring, this hybrid assembly guarantees long-term leak tightness in demanding industrial piping installations. Rated for a nominal working pressure of up to PN16 at 20 degrees Celsius, it enables quick mechanical disconnection for maintenance, pump servicing, valve replacement, or line modifications without cutting into existing pipe runs.

Manufactured by Georg Fischer in Agate Grey RAL 7038, the PVC-C component delivers exceptional resistance against aggressive chemical media, including acids, bases, and salt solutions, maintaining mechanical rigidity and pressure integrity at elevated service temperatures up to 80 degrees Celsius where conventional PVC-U fails. The precision-machined brass union end provides robust mechanical durability and thread integrity when coupling with brass or metallic valves, pressure gauges, instruments, and pumps, preventing stripping or galling common with all-plastic threaded fittings. The internal EPDM O-ring gasket provides superior resilience and elastic recovery under continuous hydraulic pressure cycles and thermal variations.

This adaptor union is widely deployed across chemical processing plants, water treatment facilities, demineralised water circuits, electroplating lines, and industrial cooling loops. Installation is executed using standard metric solvent cementing procedures with approved PVC-C solvent cement on the socket end, alongside standard thread sealant compatible with plastics and brass on the Rp thread. The flat sealing union seat with captive O-ring allows installer disassembly and reassembly with standard tools while preventing torsional stress transfer onto the solvent-cemented pipe network.
