Rated for a nominal operating pressure of PN10 (10 bar at 20 degrees Celsius), this three-piece union assembly bridges metric pipe outside diameters from d20 up to d63 with male taper threads ranging from R 1/2 inch to R 2 inch. The assembly comprises an ABS metric solvent cement socket end, an ABS union nut, a precision-machined brass end with an external taper thread (R), and a profiled elastomeric EPDM O-ring seal. The resilient EPDM seal guarantees tight joint integrity against pressure fluctuations and vibration, eliminating radial stresses that often arise from direct plastic-to-metal threaded connections.
