The Georg Fischer (GF Piping Systems) PVC-C metric adaptor socket nipple R provides a reliable transition between metric solvent cemented systems and tapered male threaded lines. Manufactured from high-grade chlorinated polyvinyl chloride (PVC-C) in agate grey RAL 7038, this precision industrial fitting combines a dual metric connection end—functioning as both a solvent spigot and socket—with a conical male R thread compliant with EN 10226-1 and ISO 7-1. Rated for an operating pressure of PN16 (16 bar) at a reference temperature of 20 degrees Celsius, it delivers uncompromising pressure containment and structural rigidity in demanding industrial piping networks.

PVC-C provides superior thermal and chemical performance compared to standard PVC-U, operating continuously at fluid temperatures up to 80 degrees Celsius under pressure. The material demonstrates exceptional resistance to aggressive industrial chemicals, including concentrated mineral acids, strong alkalis, oxidizers, and saline solutions. The fitting integrates precision wrench flats on its body, allowing installers to use standard open-end spanners to achieve secure, leak-free thread tightening without transmitting damaging torsional stress to the solvent cemented piping. When jointing the conical male thread, suitable thread sealants such as PTFE tape ensure a tight joint without over-torquing the thermoplastic flanks. Solvent cement jointing is completed cleanly using approved PVC-C solvent cement and primer.
