The Georg Fischer ABS Ball Valve 546 Pro PPA FC provides reliable automated flow isolation for chilled water, industrial cooling, and water treatment systems. Built on the Type 546 Pro platform, this actuated valve pairs an ABS valve body with a pneumatic actuator configured for fail-safe-to-close (FC) operation. In the event of compressed air loss, integrated internal springs immediately force the valve into the fully closed position, preventing unintended flow and protecting process assets.

Rated for PN10 nominal pressure across all sizes from DN10 to DN100 (metric metric diameters D16 mm to D110 mm), the valve features solvent cement socket ends for ISO jointing. Internal wetted components include low-friction PTFE ball seats and chemical-resistant EPDM seals, ensuring bi-directional leak-tight sealing. Integrated stainless steel threaded inserts at the base allow rigid fixation to supports without transferring mechanical stress to pipework. Laying lengths and z-values remain completely backwards-compatible with original Type 546 assemblies.

The pneumatic actuator housing is molded from glass-fibre reinforced polypropylene (PP-GF), providing outstanding durability against corrosive external atmospheres. Operating at 5.6 bar control pressure, it features an integrated NAMUR interface complying with VDI/VDE 3845 for direct attachment of solenoid valves or position sensors without external brackets. A clear optical position indicator gives instant visual feedback of the ball position.
