The Georg Fischer iJoint 45 degree polypropylene compression elbow provides high-integrity angular redirection for pressurized fluid networks, including potable water distribution lines, civil service connections, pressure sewage, and agricultural irrigation infrastructure. Manufactured by GF Piping Systems, this fitting features an advanced push-fit mechanical compression design that allows direct, immediate pipe insertion without the need to dismantle the nut or bevel the pipe ends. Designed for seamless connection of polyethylene (PE 80, PE 100) and cross-linked polyethylene (PEX, PEX-a) pipes across nominal diameters from 20 mm to 63 mm, it provides rapid installation while maintaining absolute joint integrity even on ovalized or scratched pipes.

Engineered from high-grade UV-stabilized polypropylene impact copolymer (PP-B) conforming to ISO 9080 long-term aging standards, the fitting body and thrust ring offer superior mechanical strength, long-term UV resistance, and total immunity to chemical corrosion and encrustation. The internal sealing mechanism incorporates a factory-lubricated food-safe EPDM lip gasket that actively compresses against the pipe exterior under hydraulic pressure, guaranteeing exceptional leak tightness and damping pressure surges or water hammer. A polyacetal (POM) split grip ring delivers formidable pull-out resistance by biting into the pipe wall when tension is applied.

Operating reliably at a continuous nominal pressure of 16 bar (PN16) across an operating temperature range of -10 °C to +45 °C, the iJoint 45 degree elbow complies with international testing and quality standards including ISO 17885, DIN 8076-3, DVGW GW 335-B3, and hygiene certifications such as ACS, KIWA, and KTW for direct potable water contact. Its robust, 100% thermoplastic design prevents galvanic reactions and eliminates maintenance requirements throughout its operational lifespan.
