The PROGEF Standard PP-H pipe SDR7.4 PN16 is a high-performance thermoplastic piping solution manufactured by Georg Fischer for industrial chemical distribution, water treatment, and process fluid conveyance. Extruded from beta-nucleated polypropylene homopolymer (beta-PP-H, MRS 10 MPa), this heavy-duty SDR 7.4 (S 3.2) pipe provides a nominal pressure rating of PN16 at 20 degrees C in full compliance with DIN 8077, DIN 8078, and EN ISO 15494. Engineered for a 25-year operational service life, the pipe features superior long-term hydrostatic strength, exceptional stiffness, and high resistance to stress cracking under continuous industrial duty.

Supplied in 5000 mm rigid lengths with plain ends in RAL 7032 pebble grey, the d16, d20, and d25 mm diameter range adheres to strict manufacturing tolerances for wall thickness and ovality (maximum 0.015 dn). The thermo-stabilized resin provides broad chemical resistance against inorganic acids, alkalis, salts, and industrial effluents. Unlike metallic alternatives, this homogeneous homopolymer avoids galvanic corrosion, pitting, and scaling, preserving an ultra-smooth internal bore that maintains optimum hydraulic flow velocity and prevents costly pressure loss over decades of operation.

The pipe integrates seamlessly with the entire Georg Fischer PROGEF Standard system, including socket fusion fittings, butt fusion spigots, electrofusion couplers, diaphragm valves, ball valves, and PP-GF30 backing flanges. Across the d16–d25 mm range, socket fusion enables swift, permanent, and leak-tight jointing for chemical dosing skids, surface treatment lines, and effluent neutralization facilities.
