The BLUCAST NVT series threaded single ball air release valve PN16 is engineered for automatic air evacuation in potable water distribution pipelines, irrigation networks, and neutral liquid industrial piping systems. Manufactured from robust ductile cast iron, this single-chamber, single-orifice air valve provides reliable operational performance by expelling pockets of accumulated air that naturally gather at high elevation points in pressurized systems. Trapped air pockets restrict fluid flow, induce significant head loss, cause inaccurate flow metering, and amplify the risk of damaging pressure surges or water hammer. Installing the NVT valve at critical line summits maintains optimum hydraulic capacity and pipeline efficiency.

Built to endure demanding underground and chamber installations, the valve body features heavy-duty external and internal electrostatic powder epoxy coating with a minimum layer thickness of 250 µm in sky blue (RAL 5015). This protective barrier provides long-term corrosion resistance in contact with potable water and moist soils. The internal sealing assembly utilizes a buoyant, precision-guided ball and high-grade EPDM sealing elements, ensuring absolute tightness even at low operating pressures, with a maximum rated working pressure of PN16 (16 bar) and an allowable operating temperature range from 0 to 80 degrees C.

The compact and lightweight construction makes the BLUCAST NVT valve exceptionally easy to install in constrained valve vaults, pump stations, and filtration manifolds. Available in standard BSP male threaded connection sizes from 1 inch up to 2 inches (1", 1 1/4", 1 1/2", 2"), this air valve requires minimal maintenance and ensures seamless integration into existing distribution headers, pressure reducing stations, and transmission mains.
