The Blucast series XS threaded blind flange is an engineered ductile iron fitting designed for terminating flanged pipeline sections while providing a concentric female threaded BSP port. Manufactured from high-grade ductile iron EN-GJS-500-7 in strict compliance with EN 545 and EN 1092-2 dimensional standards, this component delivers dependable mechanical strength and pressure containment up to 16 bar (PN10/PN16 multi-drilled pattern). It allows pipeline engineers and utility contractors to cap pipeline ends securely while maintaining ready access for instrument tapping, drainage, air valve integration, or auxiliary branch connections.

Corrosion protection is achieved through an automatic electrostatic powder epoxy coating with a minimum dry film thickness of 250 µm in RAL 5015 sky blue. The coating system holds international WRAS and ACS sanitary conformity certifications, ensuring full chemical inertness and zero water quality degradation when deployed in potable water networks. The resilient barrier protects the cast ductile iron substrate against aggressive soils, internal fluid abrasion, and atmospheric corrosion across an operating temperature range of 0 to 80 degrees Celsius.

The series XS threaded blind flange is widely utilized in drinking water distribution mains, industrial process piping, municipal pump stations, and irrigation networks. Its integrated female BSP thread provides a sturdy, leak-free connection for pressure gauges, sampling taps, automatic air release valves, and drainage bypasses without requiring supplementary tapping saddles or mechanical drilling on site.
