The Georg Fischer PVC-U threaded end cap with parallel female thread Rp provides a dependable, leak-tight closure for pipe terminations, manifold outlets, and maintenance ports across industrial piping systems. Manufactured to rigorous technical standards, this fitting incorporates an internal parallel thread conforming to ISO 7-1 and EN 10226-1, ensuring mechanical compatibility with standard taper male R threads. Moulded from high-grade unplasticised polyvinyl chloride (PVC-U) in dark grey (RAL 7011), the component offers outstanding chemical resistance against aggressive acids, alkalis, salts, and chemical solutions. The non-corrosive thermoplastic construction prevents incrustation and scaling, maintaining hydraulic reliability and eliminating fluid contamination throughout an extended service life. The fitting provides predictable mechanical performance under nominal conditions, with standard pressure de-rating applicable at elevated operating temperatures.

Sealing of the parallel Rp female thread must be executed using pure PTFE thread sealing tape. Jointing compounds containing solvents, plasticisers, or mineral oils that can stress-crack PVC-U must be strictly avoided. The ergonomic exterior profile permits precise tightening with standard assembly tools without introducing excessive radial stress.
