The Georg Fischer ELGEF Plus duobloc electrofusion tapping saddle in PE100 is engineered for pressurized branch connections on large-diameter utility and industrial polyethylene pipelines. Designed to mount onto main pipes ranging from d315 mm to d400 mm with an integrated d63 mm fusion outlet, this high-performance saddle allows direct under-pressure live tapping without service interruption. The 360 degrees rotatable outlet spigot offers exceptional alignment flexibility on site, simplifying tie-ins to secondary lines in confined trench installations.

Manufactured by Georg Fischer from fully compounded virgin PE100 resin (density ~0.95 g/cm³, yield stress 25 N/mm² at 23°C), this electrofusion fitting is pressure rated for 16 bar on water distribution networks and 10 bar on combustible gas networks. The integrated internal cutter drills cleanly through the host pipe wall and retains the cut coupon, while the upper screw cap with high-grade elastomeric O-ring guarantees a permanent, bubble-tight seal after the tapping operation is completed.

Engineered for uncompromising joint integrity, the saddle features standard 4 mm connector pins, embedded heating coils optimized for uniform thermal distribution, and limited-path fusion indicators that provide clear visual confirmation of a completed weld cycle. The fitting is installed using the Georg Fischer Top Load clamping system (tool no. 799.350.477), ensuring constant radial clamping force across pipe tolerances from SDR11 to SDR33. Each fitting includes embedded barcodes for automatic welding parameters and full traceability through the GF Track & Trace system.
