The ELGEF Plus PE100 monobloc tapping saddle kit manufactured by Georg Fischer is an electrofusion fitting engineered for branching live gas and water distribution pipelines. This monobloc assembly combines a high-density polyethylene tapping saddle with an integrated rotating cutter mechanism and spigot outlet, allowing rapid, secure branch connections into operational mains under continuous system pressure without service disruption.

Engineered for utility pipelines, this SDR 11 electrofusion saddle is rated for operating pressures up to 16 bar in water distribution networks and up to 10 bar in natural gas systems. The body is produced from 100% virgin PE100 resin in RAL 9005 black, offering high resistance to environmental stress cracking, soil chemistry, and dynamic ground loads. The internal cutter cleanly cuts through the host pipe wall while securely holding the drilled coupon inside the cutter sleeve, preventing debris and swarf from contaminating the fluid stream. Built-in upper and lower travel limit stops guide the cutting process, while high-grade internal elastomer O-ring seals maintain total leak tightness during and after hot tapping.

Electrofusion welding is executed via 4 mm connector pins with embedded heating coils designed for consistent thermal distribution and controlled melt pressure. Visual limited path fusion indicators provide direct verification of joint completion. Every fitting includes Track & Trace barcode labeling for QA/QC documentation and asset logging. The spigot branch outlet connects directly to electrofusion couplers or spigot reducers, streamlining underground network expansion. Compliant with EN 12201-3, EN 1555-3, ISO 4427, and ISO 4437, this monobloc saddle guarantees an operational lifespan of up to 100 years.
