The Georg Fischer SYGEF Standard type V86 pressure retaining valve in d75mm (DN65) is an engineered thermoplastic process solution designed to maintain constant upstream line pressure and relieve excess fluid forces across demanding chemical processing and high-purity industrial piping systems. Operating via a spring-loaded, direct-acting diaphragm mechanism, the valve opens automatically and proportionally whenever upstream pressure surpasses the pre-set calibrated value, discharging surplus volume downstream to stabilize line conditions and safeguard sensitive upstream equipment. Configured with a nominal pressure rating of PN6 (6 bar) and an adjustable pressure setting range of 1.0 to 6.0 bar, the unit provides accurate and repeatable pressure relief and backpressure maintenance. The wetted control interface features a resilient PTFE diaphragm, ensuring exceptional barrier protection, physiological non-toxicity, and broad chemical inertness against concentrated acids, solvents, and aggressive process media. Manufactured entirely from unpigmented polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF), the rugged valve body resists chemical degradation and thermal stress across an extensive operating temperature range from -20 degrees Celsius to +140 degrees Celsius. For seamless, leak-tight integration into clean distribution loops, the valve incorporates metric d75mm (2 1/2 inch) IR Plus spigots optimized for infrared butt fusion and standard butt welding, eliminating crevices and preserving laminar hydraulic flow. Characterised by an outer body diameter of 180 mm, a total height of 275 mm, an operational center height of 230 mm, and an overall installation length of 284 mm with a dry weight of 5.600 kg, this assembly delivers dependable backpressure control in semiconductor ultrapure water loops, pharmaceutical purified water (PW) distribution, and aggressive industrial chemical dosing circuits.
